Types of Comfy Sleepwear in Singapore to Try Out

· modern batik dress,loungewear singapore,ladies pyjamas

Who says you can’t go to bed in great clothes? While some people may dismiss the importance of sleepwear and loungewear in Singapore, these garments shouldn’t be underestimated. Itchy or uncomfortable clothing during sleep can ruin the quality of your sleep. And just because they’re clothes that you wear to bed, doesn’t mean you can’t express your personality through them. Sleepwear is the perfect place where you can find fun clothes that express your personality or add a pop of colour to your wardrobe.

I wasn’t a sleepwear enthusiast. I forewent sleepwear entirely because I was too lazy to change my clothes for the night. Before, I used to sleep in old clothes or casual wear that wasn’t meant to be sleepwear. And while they were alright for sleeping, they just weren’t made for the job. I didn’t know how much I was missing out on when I tried using clothes that were meant for sleep.

Why comfy sleepwear matters

Comfortable ladies pyjamas made all the difference for me as soon as my head hit the pillow. Having soft fabrics that are perfect for sleeping on beds means no itchy fabric that can rub against my skin while sleeping. In addition to being practical, soft sleep garments are also much more colourful and come in several fun styles that speak about you. For example, a friend of mine loves to lounge around in the cutest dog-printed pyjama bottoms I’ve ever seen, and if that doesn’t speak anything about her personality, then colour me surprised!

After seeing for myself how sleepwear can make all the difference for the long time you spend in the bedroom, and how sleepwear and loungewear in Singapore come in all different shapes, sizes and colours to fit all kinds of personalities, I now have a dedicated wardrobe for my nighttime routine.

What kind of sleepwear can you find?

I know a lot of people have forgotten sleepwear because they might not find much of a difference with regular loungewear in Singapore. Aren’t the clothes that you use at home enough? A lot of sleepwear designs don’t look like they can cater to people who have fancier tastes or just plain don’t like the cartoony designs that a lot of common sleepwear have.

But you’ll be surprised by the sheer variety of sleepwear types that you can choose from. It’s not just ladies pyjamas or loose-fitting shirts! I’ll share with you a variety of sleepwear I’ve tried out or seen over the time I was discovering sleepwear.

  • Robes.

Want to feel fancy while sleeping? A robe designed for sleeping might do just the trick. Robes can be made of fine materials that can be an absolute joy to sleep in. If you like your robes on the fluffy side, you can find cotton ones, and there are thin silk or velvet robes that you can cocoon yourself in for a good night’s sleep. The best part about them is that they’re easy to put on or remove when you start your day!

  • Onesies.

You’ve probably seen these fun outfits on the internet and in viral videos. For those who are young at heart, onesies can make for great sleepwear as well as a costume that you can wear year-round. They wrap around your whole body and can feel quite cosy when you need to drift off.

  • Pyjamas.

Ah, the classic ladies pyjamas in Singapore. These garments traditionally come in a set consisting of a shirt and long pants. They’re available in many different styles. These are my favourite kind of sleepwear, and I have quite a few in my closet. They can also come in a ton of different fabrics, like cotton, flannel, and fleece. You should check the material and feel them know if it’s the right texture for you to sleep in. I like to wear certain pyjama fabrics on different days depending on how warm I want to be, how cosy I want to feel, etc.

  • Nightgowns.

A long dress made of the softest materials is exactly the thing you need after a long day of work. When I want to go to sleep or laze around casually in the house with my family, this is my pick.
