How I Organised a Bachelor’s Party for my Best Friend

· whisky online

My best friend is getting married in five days here in Singapore. As his best man for the wedding, and dare I must say in life, I have planned to organise him a memorable bachelor’s party with Japanese whisky.

Since we met in college, he could not stop talking about this girl he met in his Literature subject. He also keeps saying that he will ask her out the next time they meet. What is funny about this is he never really talked to the girl in class. He only stares at the girl’s hair because he can never start up a conversation.

Whenever he talks about this girl, his whole face turns red and it all makes us laugh because he is so in love. One time when we were in a bar with a couple of friends, I dared him to text the girl and ask her for one date. He said he would not be motivated to do it without a prize. So, I said I am going to give him whatever drink he wants when they get married. That won him because, at that time, he was really into scotch whisky - the drink that inspired Japanese whisky. This was enough to get him over his fears, and soon enough they started dating.

Preparing the party
He is an avid drinker of whiskey, and I knew it would be more fun to set whiskey as the theme of his party. The highlight of the night is finally giving him the bottle of whisky that he truly deserved after getting the girl of his dreams, and that is Hibiki 30 Years Japanese Whisky. I knew it would be expensive but I also knew this would make him very happy.

Buying whisky in an online store in Singapore
Japanese whisky at wine shops in Singapore is hard to come by. That is why I decided to buy our drinks in an online store. This shop has all kinds of whisky like blended scotch, bourbon, Canadian and Irish, Japanese, and Scotch single malt. What is great about this store is that they offer free delivery when your purchases exceeded $100. More than that, they deliver your goods the same day if you order before 11 AM, and the next day if you order after 11 AM.

The Hibiki whisky
The highlight of the night was opening the Hibiki 30 Years Japanese Whisky. I poured all six of us a sip of this delightful liquor. We all drink at the same time. It was so rich in flavours. There was a hint of prune. According to the groom-to-be, there was dried fig, apricot jam, and Mizunara (Japanese oak). It was worth its price.

Concluding the night
After sharing stories from college and wishing him best to this journey of marriage, we finally capped the night. Once all the guests left, he thanked me for our strong friendship and this memorable night. It was truly one for the books.

I must say that Japanese whisky, especially Hibiki, made our friendship stronger. I highly recommend buying whisky and other alcoholic beverages in Platinum Wines & Spirits. You can get Hibiki whisky for the price of $155 to $8,800 at their website https://winesnspirits.sg/.
