When Christmas and other holidays draw closer, most of us approach them with a sense of excitement and wonder. But it’s not uncommon to also feel a bit of nervousness when these days get nearer. Why? Because holidays and special occasions often mean that you have to prepare for gift giving.
The tradition of gift-giving is a long and celebrated one, but it can sometimes be very frustrating. This is because, usually, unless you really know the person, it can be difficult to guess what their reaction to your gift would be. In other words, it can be hard to pick out a great gift for someone. A customized gift that you spent a lot of time creating can end up shoved in the back of someone’s closet, or worse, get tossed into the bin.

2. Underwear. Does this need explaining? Underwear is an extremely intimate item that you shouldn’t gift to even the closest of friends, let alone people you don’t know well.
3. Stationary or office items. Unless they’re a coworker or acquaintance, or maybe an artist or hobby collector, you might want to avoid this gift. It could also make the person think you’re not that close. Of course, if you’re planning to turn it into a cheap customized gift with your own personal flair, it might be different.
