However, in this time of war, political conflict, and social unrest, people want to find a safe space for themselves. Some may not be directly a victim. But there is still an impact with what happens around the world to most people.

Flowers to Spread Positivity

As a friend, son, and human being, I want to show that there is still hope in this world, which is the positivity that can prosper into a deeper human relationship. Before the pandemic, I usually went to eat with my friends during the weekends. However, as there are restrictions for physical distancing, it is hard to meet them in person.

Of course, it doesn’t stop me from being a loyal friend. We regularly communicate through social media apps. Plus, I give them flowers at random times! Yes, I also offer my guy friends floral bouquets and a dried flowers bouquet.

On the other hand, I show my love and affection to my parents through flowers in a jar from Singapore.  Let me share in this article what a flower signifies. Is it only for aesthetic reasons? Or to express expression? Find out here!

What Does a Flower Signify?

The tradition of giving flowers lives on because humans are emotional, including men and women. In my experience, I know that everyone wants to feel valued and loved. I grew up in a household where they believe that everyone deserves affection.

Hence, I developed a habit of giving flowers to everyone close to me. It includes floral bouquets,  flowers in a jar and a hot air balloon flower in Singapore. So, here’s what a flower signifies in my life.

1. My Emotions

I am not comfortable with showing my emotions through words. I feel awkward when showing assurance and affirmation to my friends and family. Therefore, I am more of a gift-giving person. And the best choice is to give flowers. After all, flowers have many colours, from red, white, green, blue, etc. It represents a different meaning with each colour, for instance, red for love, white for sympathy, and yellow for friendship.

With these choices, I buy flowers depending on my emotions. Do I want to say sorry? Or should I show my appreciation? Well, flowers made it easy for me to show my feelings. I usually buy red floral bouquets for my parents to show my love. Plus, I give yellow flowers in a jar to show my appreciation to my friends.

2. It Shows My Happiness

When I’m happy, I spread happiness with the people around me. My friends and family know that I like to give flowers at random times. If it happens, they know that I am happy and celebrating.  I give flowers whenever I achieve something because I want to show that they support me throughout the journey. When I feel fancy, I present them with a hot air balloon flower to display at home.

Also, I give them during mother’s day, birthdays, life milestones and other special occasions. It shows that I am happy for them. I am grateful for having their positive life experience. See, floral bouquets also symbolise my happiness for myself and other people.

3. To Show My Support

Life is challenging for all of us! I know that my friends and family are fighting silent battles on their own. So, giving floral bouquets or a dried flowers bouquet at random times shows that I support them on their problems.

I am here to help them whenever they need me. For instance, one of my friends had a problem with his job, but he couldn’t share it with anyone. So, the moment I gave him flowers, he suddenly cried and shared everything about his problem.

4. My Appreciation to Beauty

Flowers show beauty around the world. Luckily, florists use the flower as an art form. They organise it in floral bouquets, flowers in a jar or a hot air balloon flower in Singapore. There are more flower arrangements because it gives me an appreciation for the beauty around the world.

My mother displays the flowers I give to her at home. It enhances the visual appeal of our home and promotes a sense of nature. With this, flowers stand as a symbol of hope in a world of negativity and blandness.

5. Encouraging Deeper Connection

It also shows my willingness to develop a deeper connection with a person. It means I want to grow with this friendship or family connection. When I give floral bouquets and flowers in a jar, it symbolises my encouragement to spend more time with them together. This way, I initiate a relationship that will grow through time.
